Hello!

Mainly you’ll see my face around here - Tiffany. But, know, none of what I do is possible without the support of my family. They have been with me during seasons of full-time photography as our main income, on-call doula and birth photographer work, part-time, and now just navigating what photography looks like with slowing down, our eldest graduating, homeschooling the four still at home, fostering, and walking alongside my husband in pastoring a church plant.

My degree is in Elementary Education and my photography skill are completely self-taught. I have been shooting now for over 15 years so I guess that makes me pretty “seasoned”. Not sure when too old is too old for this gig…asking for a friend. Maybe when people stop hiring me?? It’s such a blessing to capture each family in front of my camera, and I super enjoy this line of work. I have never left angry after snuggling a baby or getting your little one to giggle (perhaps with the bribe of a dye-free sucker).

Where we are Located

Praying we have another photography studio in 2027! Located in Towanda, Kansas (just outside of East Wichita).

How We Got Started

I’ve had a camera in my hands back to when we shot film. Over time I have sharpened my skills and built a thriving business through dedication and a love for people. This business supported our family for years on a single income and we are so grateful. I love being creative, freezing time for families, and treasure the relationships I’ve made. Since my first paid gig in 2008 I have photographed over 3,000 sessions and nearly 300 birth stories.

What’s in the Bag

I have a mirrorless Canon R5, an 85mm 1.2, and 35mm 1.2, 100mm macro along with candy for bribery and extra lens caps when I loses mine. Next I want to purchase the 14mm lens!

The Why

Three grew in my womb and two we hand-picked through fostering and adopting (finalized August 2017). Raising these five is the most challenging, yet amazing and rewarding, thing I’ve been blessed to do. This income provides many extras for our family (at times it has put food on the table): sports (homeschool sport costs - whew!), extra curriculars, homeschooling (my tax dollars certainly don’t help me here!), traveling, college, and being able to provide healthy food choices for these growing bodies. The majority of my childhood was spent very low-income and we’ve fought hard to do better. Mama gets a creative outlet while I get to provide for our bunch. Incredibly thankful!

Quirks

Ew coffee and soda.
Yes chai and kombucha and strawberry lemonade.
Give me warm bread and butter any day (and a dash of salt thanks to our foreign exchange student’s idea!). You can’t convince me cutting carbs is the way to go.
I’ve never dyed my hair (you can tell).
I love puzzles and reading fiction books.
I hate running but will be down for a walk anytime.
If it wasn’t so looked down upon I’d be a cat lady - definitely better than dogs.
I’m very type A and organizing, creating charts, meal-planning and cleaning brings me happy (controlling much?! …working on that).
(I also love parentheses - you can say so much more)
Happily married (okay give us like 2 really rough years in there but the Lord is GOOD) for nearly 20 years to my best friend and being a good mama was my childhood dream.
Jesus is number one in this list, and I’m not sure where I’d be without my faith. I strive to be like Christ every moment and fail often.
Lastly, embarrassingly, an over-sharer and sometimes I need to reign in the sarcasm.
Using humor to cope since I came out of the womb.
